Says on the back of the cover, “This DVD release is the result of many years of diligent clearance work, which was required to enable the most complete version possible of Kenny Everett’s shows for Thames Television.
The unusual, sometimes last-minute approach to making these programs meant that paperwork – essential to facilitate any kind of DVD release – wasn’t always completed accurately at the time of production. On inspection, we found evidence of artistes who were contracted and cleared but who didn’t actually appear at the whilst others appeared seemingly on a whim, without any documentation, as if for the fun of it. Some paperwork has also been lost in the intervening years, making certain third party footage all the more difficult to identify and which made the release trickier still.
Within these constraints as much as possible as been preserved of the original as-broadcast programs, but it has been necessary to remove some third party content such as promotional music videos and commercials.”
