Thames Series 1 had 16 Captain Kremmen episodes, 2 per show. These are vaguely known as ‘The Thargoid Menace’. Kremmen and his team are sent to investigate mysterious goings on in space, but are captured by the Thargoids and imprisoned on a radioactive mud planet. They manage to escape back to Thargoidia, capture their leader and return to Earth with him. None of these episodes have been released on video or DVD.

Thames Series 2 had 8 Captain Kremmen episodes, 1 per show. These are vaguely known as ‘The Giant Banana’. A strange ball of matter passes by earth and causes fruit and vegetables to mutate to fantastic proportions. The most dangerous of these, a giant banana, goes on a rampage and Kremmen has to stop it. Some, but not all of these segments were released on the “Best Of Vol 1” and “Naughty Bits” compilations.

Thames Series 3 had 8 Captain Kremmen episodes, 1 per show. These are vaguely known as ‘Double Trouble’. Things are getting too busy in space so the Space Corps decide to build a bionic Kremmen to help out. When the bionic double is accidently zapped with 40,000 volts he goes insane, steals Kremmen’s ship and escapes to team up with the leader of the Thargoids. Some, but not all of these segments were released on the “Best Of Vol 2” compilation.

Thames Series 4 contain some acted sketches with a set of Captain Kremmen. Gags circle around the stupidity of Carla who was acted by Anna Dawson

Finally, there were animated segments with seperate shorter stories in The Didn’t Quite Make It in Time for Christmas Video Show (1979) and The “Will Kenny Everett Make It to 1980?” Show (1979) video shows.

“Kremmen: The Movie” was a new story animated by Orchard Design/Norwood Studios (1980) seperate to the Thames Video Show.
